Tomato, 'Captain Lucky'

Captain Lucky is perhaps the best known and most commercially successful of the many wonderful varieties to come from the late North Carolina tomato breeder, Millard Murdoch's garden over the years. Green fruits streaked with bronze and red are sliced to reveal a kaleidoscopic marbled interior. The juicy half-pound beefsteak fruits are blemish free and have an amazing true summer tomato flavor: bright, deep, and sweet. Potato leaf plants produce strong predictable vines and uniform trussing. Highly recommended, a farm favorite in our 2023 field.
