While not absolutely necessary, you may provide staking or netting to keep them upright and tidy with straight stems. They do tend to support each other if planted in a block but will lodge if rained on.

Cut long stems when petals have dropped and seed pods show. Expect a vase life of 10 days. Color is green to golden.
